Penulisan Artikel

Assalamualaikum wbrt,

1. Saya ingin mengajak rakan-rakan SIG M&B yang mempunyai artikel prosiding/thesis untuk ditukarkan/upgrade ke artikel jurnal antarabangsa/perdana.

2. Setiap ahli boleh memilih co-authors masing-masing dikalangan ahli SIG M&B (kalau boleh tidak lebih 4 orang), dan perlu mengikut etika penulisan .

3. Artikel yang hendak dihantar perlu diedit terlebih dahulu dan segala urusan penulisan semua adalah bergantung kepada budi bicara pemilik artikel .

4. Pengabungan bidang juga digalakkan.

5. Guidelines penulisan artikel (flagship jurnals/international jurnals)

a. Title - short and sweet! - not more than 12 words
b. Authors' page - Name, address, tel. no., fax. no., e-mail add., bibliography of authors - not too long.
c. Abstract - Purpose, methodology, findings, limitations of study, originality, practical implementations, keywords (not more than 5 keywords), paper type (i.e. research paper, literature, conceptual, technical, case study) - not more than 150 words.
d. Introduction - issue, problem, gaps of knowledge, objectives of study
e. review of literature - propose hypotheses
f. methodology
g. analysis and findings
h. disccussion and practical implementations
i. future research plan
j. references - please refer to author guidelines!

#Length of article = 4,000-6,000 words or not more than 25 pages -double spacing, 12 fond size.

Pertukaran nama SIG

Oleh kerana terdapat ahli dalam pelbagai bidang, saya mengesyorkan pertukaran nama SIG MIS kepada SIG Management & Business. InsyaAllah, dari perbincangan saya dengan dekan FPP, SIG M&B akan dipecahkan mengikut bidang masing-masing kelak, selepas SIG M&B ini "stable".

Call for Papers-ISI/SCOPUS Journal IMDS

The Industrial Management & Data Systems (IMDS, ISSN #0263-5577, ISBN: 1-84544-863-4, www.emeraldinsight.com/imds.htm), established in 1980, is published and distributed nine (9) printed issues a year by Emerald Group Publishing Ltd in UK. The Journal aims to improve top managerial skills by promoting awareness of new technology and related concepts and their implications.

· More than 2,000 institutions accessed IMDS online. The IMDS received 300,854 full text downloads in one year - an average of 824 article downloads per day (over 25,000 per month).
· The IMDS has an acceptance rate of 12%. Over the past year, we have experienced a steady and impressive growth in submissions. In the past 12 months, IMDS received more than 580 manuscripts.
· The H-Index (based on Harzing’s Publish or Perish software) of the IMDS during 1999-2008 is 36. On average, cites per paper during 1999-2008 = 8.09.
· The IMDS also maintains a very rapid electronic submission, review and publication process. The turnaround time and quality of review comments ranks amongst the best in the field (average of 6-8 weeks from submission to a first decision).
· The IMDS editorial board numbers 36 academics from around the globe, ranging from long established senior scholars to the next generation of leading edge researchers.
· The IMDS is included in the Thomson Scientific Links Master Journal List http://scientific.thomson.com/cgi-bin/jrnlst/jlresults.cgi?PC=MASTER&Alpha=I.
· Additionally, the IMDS is listed as a very popular IS journal in the Index of Information Systems Journals at http://lamp.infosys.deakin.edu.au/journals/.

Paper submissions will receive an initial screening before they are entered into the double-blind review process. Important screening criteria include fit with the mission of the IMDS, significance of the research, and likelihood of moving forward acceptance in two rounds of review. All manuscripts will be subject to high standards of review at the IMDS.

The number of authors of a paper submission is limited to a maximum of 4. A maximum word count should not exceed 8,000 words, and all paper submissions must adhere to this. Call for paper-Management International Conference (MIC), Tunisia

Please be informed that my friend, Prof. Binshan Lin (USA) is organising an international conference in Tunisia, 2009. Details on the conference is as follows;
As General Chair, I would like to extend a cordial invitation for you to participate in the Management International Conference (MIC) in Sousse, Tunisia, November 25-28, 2009. The MIC 2009 is organized by the University of Primorska, Faculty of Management Koper, Slovenia, Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI University), and University of Sousse, Tunisia. Paper Submission:
This year all paper submissions (either abstract or full length paper) MUST be submitted online at the MIC website. Upload your paper or abstract to
http://mic.fm-kp.si/2009 by April 30, 2009. All paper submissions will undergo a double-blind review process. Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 15, 2009.

Accepted papers are to be included in the MIC 2009 Conference Proceedings (ISSN: 1854-4312, ISBN: 961-6573-16-0) in CD form. Guidelines for the Proceedings are online at MIC website. Authors of selected full-length papers will be given the opportunity to revise their papers for inclusion in a future issue of the following nine sponsored journals:
